The calibration laboratory of Borgwaldt KC GmbH, under the management of Ms. Katrin Schade has been externally accredited since 2012. Due to a revision of the guiding standard with a 2018 version, the calibration laboratory had to be reassessed this year. Within the alterations required to meet the revisions to the guiding standard, the range of services has also been expanded. Effective immediately, Borgwaldt KC GmbH is very pleased to be able to offer its customers alongside the existing calibration services the following new services:
- Calibration of ventilation standards according to ISO 9512, now for the first time with a DAkkS Calibration Certificate
- Calibration of standard flow resistances, according to ISO 6565 in the measuring range of 0.1 kPa to 0.5 kPa (approx. 10 mmH2O to 50 mmH2O)
- Calibrations of flow resistances, such as bubble adapter according to ISO 4387, ISO 20778 and ISO 20768 with DAkkS calibration certificate. These are bubble adapters that have a nominal value of 1kPa, 2kPa or 3kPa. In addition bubble adapters with other pressure drops between 0.1 kPa and 13 kPa can also be calibrated.
- Also new to the range of services is the calibration of flow resistances according to ISO / DIS 22486 (Shisha) where the flow resistance is determined at a flow rate of 204 ml/s.
DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2018 defines the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories and also forms the basis for accreditation in this area. The DAkkS is a signatory of the multilateral agreements of the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). This means that DAkkS calibration certificates are internationally recognized as equivalent by the members of the ILAC. The certificate underlines once again that the calibration laboratory of Borgwaldt KC GmbH complies with the internationally accepted standard and determines laboratory results in a technically competent manner. The successful accreditation confirms, among other things, the complete traceability to national or international reference standards for calibrations that are carried out at Borgwaldt KC GmbH.
